National Certificate in Electrical Apparatus in Explosive Atmospheres Level 4:
This qualification is designed for registered electricians, industrial measurement and control technicians and electrical inspectors, to develop competency in working with electrical apparatus in explosive atmospheres, (gas, dust, heat, pressure) and gain competency required to implement industry safety requirements specified in legislation and regulatory standards.

Install Maintain and Test Electrical Equipment in Explosive Atmospheres | Students will be able to install, maintain and attend to breakdowns of explosion-protected electrical apparatus and wiring systems in hazardous areas, and Conduct testing of electrical apparatus in explosive atmospheres installations. This course includes unit standards; 17056, 17058, 17059 and 17073 |

Restrictions:
Applicants wishing to undertake study towards this qualification must hold a current practising license issued by the Electrical Workers Registration Board and be either a registered electrician or hold a level 4 qualification in Industrial Measurement and Control, Electrical inspectors or an Instrumentation Technician with experience in explosive atmospheres
This programme is delivered over 5 days or 40 hours total and students can choose from a range of block course options. Students are required to complete prior reading of the course notes provided before attending WITT and will be required to complete theory assessments as self-directed learning.
